Hello Blog Readers!
It is Friday morning Aus time and his poor dog Rosie's very much missing going to the sandunese!
Today we've got braking news! DA DA DA DA!!!! Mick has PAST the forth checkpoint! He had to get his feet in his shoes cut out because his feet were swelling in the heat! Oh, oh!
Mick is in the desert cycling in a cool 35c (It must be like home after the Sahara!) Dr Croctor reports that he is strong in mind and body. Mickey is coming a good place. It We think he's coming nineteenth or eighteenth in his age group out of forty. Imagine how TIRED he would be!! The mickroocrew are keeping his spirits high with loud speakers on the van behind playing his favourit music and reading out the blogs as he cruises through the desert. The Irish team are ahead but Mick is going to certainly catch up.... he is staying up all day cycling and all night cycling and only three hours to sleep!! CRAZY!
I hope you are OK now with all this crazy news going on and hope you don't faint!
Please stay tooned with more crazy news from Molly. xx
Awesome news!!! Tell Mickey I did a 40 mile bike in his honor today, but forgot my bike shirts and my nuts were already going numb...so i can only wonder what his crotch is feeling now!!!! No slacking for that Scotman!!!!

Hey Hey Ho Mickeyroocrew Team and of course Mickey keep up the good work Mickey and don't worry about Rosie, Sharon will take her out to the dunes for a big 15k run on Sunday at about 5.30am in the morning after her big night out (BIG 50th Birthday Party) she should get home at about 5.30am so she can go back out ASAP she won't have to worry about the rain it's going to be blues sky's in Sydney. Sharon just put your sunglasses on and you will be fine. That's about all the gos from down under. Cheers everyone
ReplyDeleteMickey, you're truly awesome! But I'd be a bit worried about that Doctor Croctor - she's probably slipping that Irish team some special potion! Can't say I've done anything energetic to even try and equal a hundreth of your efforts - except waking to get the medical distress texts at 4.30am!!! But asking an obstetrician for medical advice about a maniac man riding a bike is probably asking for trouble!I won't write publically my advice on peri(ie bum) management! Just stay well and keep pedalling and pray that crazy support team have learnt how to drive - cos their initial efforts didn't fill any of us here at home with confidence! Well done to you all - keep the flag flying, the kangaroo jumping and the kilt flapping! Love Marg
ReplyDeleteSo as we rest after putting up the disco ball and get the lasers positioned our thoughts are with you Mickey and the Mickroo cress. May you continue to pedal madly as you have ridden 500 miles can you ride 500 more......sound familiar? Keep that tune in your head and you will be there before you know it. Love Vicki
ReplyDeleteHey guys, hows it going... We had one of those huge big enormous full moons last night here in Sydney. I love the way she rises over the heads, and you think she has squeezed in a bit closer like when y'er sleeping in a hayshed and the cats all come and sit on your head... We have seen a lot of moons rise out of the sea on our travels, but none so big or beautiful as we have here in Sydney...
ReplyDeleteSo last night as I stood in a trance looking at all the patterns and subtle shadows... The first thing I thought of was Mickey's kilt blowing in the wind as he hurtled across the states!!! Thank's mate... I will have to get that vision removed!!!
Hi Mickey. It's Annie here. You are that hot? Poor you! I think you are doing well for 2 days. Keep the good work up. Have fun for the next 4000 kilometers! Ciao! I feel that you are very brave to be doing such a big race. I want you to finish in a high place and be safe and happy.
