Mick is doing VERY well! He is riding through Colorado (The largest state in RAAM) and can't WAIT to get out of it! It's got mountains that are bigger than any that can be found in Australia, and he is actully riding in altitude, hopefuly the mountain climbs that he has done will help him. This afternoon, he went up a mountain (again) and thought he was going down hill because of all the wind, he didn't even notice! (Which is good!) Although he says it messes with your mind....
He is now having a three hours sleep, which will do him good as he has been riding for a VERY long time!
The MickRooCrew is doing hard work and is putting all the effort they have got in for Mick, (reports Mickey) and reckons he should owe them a nice long holiday.

Hey Mickey and all The MickRooCrew, I'm sure you are all absolutely exhausted and just wanting it all to be over but you are doing fabulously. Just had word via Sharon that you have done one of the last big climbs - well done you're a legend! Seriously don't know how you are all keeping going but knowing you all I know you'll see this through and succeed.
ReplyDeleteBut I think you should know it not all sunlight and ease for those of us back here. eg for someone as technologicaaly challenged as myself to be daily trying to overcome her inadequacies and keep sending blogs - well all I can say is it is bloody hard work!!! Waxed lyrical last night with an extremely witty and clever blog only to find that Telstra had cut off my line and my blog disappeared! When I had stopped foaming at the mouth (and no I didn't throw the computer through the window/or blow up Telstra) I did the only thing a sane and sensible thing a person would do - I went to bed!! Not that I should mention bed to any of you crazy, mad but totally fabulous people.
Mickey I know you are doing absolutely brilliantly BUT I need you to pedal faster - I don't know how many more of these "blogs" or whatever they're called I can manage. My 1 finger typing is probably taking the same time as it is for you to cycle up one of those huge mountains!!!
We're all cheering you on and wishing the mountains to shrink and the road to be smooth
